Issues Dialling Local Numbers on PBXaaS

If you're experiencing an issue on your business VoIP where you can't dial local numbers (8 digits), but can dial all other numbers, please setup one of the following options.

Setting Caller ID per Extension

Our voice routers will use the first 2 digits of your Caller ID to determine your location.

To set your caller ID on a per-extension basis, which can be useful for presenting an extension's direct in dial, or if you have users operating out of multiple states, please see the following article: http://support.neural.com.au/entries/21979655-Setting-the-Caller-ID-of-an-extension

You can set your caller ID as any local number residing on your account with Neural.

Setting Caller ID across the PBX

Our voice routers will use the first 2 digits of your Caller ID to determine your location.

To set a global caller ID for each call placed from your PBX, either replicate the steps in the above section on each extension, or alternatively, create a new ticket above requesting we set the caller ID of your PBX to any one of the numbers associated with your Neural account.

Prefixing without Caller ID

Should you wish to statically set the local area prefix for all calls placed from your PBX, but don't wish to present a caller ID, please create a new ticket above requesting we set the auto prefix on your account to 02, 03, 07 or 08.

Should you wish to present a caller ID of a number that does not reside on your account with Neural, please see the following article: http://support.neural.com.au/entries/22842545-Sending-caller-ID-from-your-SIP-server-or-device
